ABSTRACT:
This Toolkit was developed within the International Master in Arts & Culture Management at Rome Business School, as a collaborative capstone project carried out by four students with different academic and professional backgrounds.
The research and development process was a collective effort, combining expertise in migration studies, cultural policy, community arts, and project management. Each team member contributed to different sections of the work—ranging from literature review and case study analysis to toolkit design and testing strategies. The project reflects not only academic research but also a shared commitment to social change, highlighting the role of the arts as a bridge between cultures and as a tool for empowerment. |

ABOUT THE PROJECT:
Art for Inclusion – Toolkit is the outcome of a collaborative research project that investigates how participatory arts can foster migrant inclusion and intercultural dialogue. By analyzing case studies from Europe and Latin America, the Toolkit identifies recurring practices—such as theatre, music, and convivial moments—that help create safe spaces, value cultural identity, and promote active participation.
Designed as a flexible and practical resource, the Toolkit provides guiding principles, activity suggestions, and adaptable checklists to support NGOs, cultural institutions, and artists in developing inclusive and sustainable initiatives. |
